Shooting a film – START TO FINISH!

Notes:

  • pull actors into story development process
  • plan out shots so you can get an idea of how the shot will look
  • create a shot list
  • create a list of wild sounds
  • use ADR to achieve better sound
  • its okay to shoot things out of order
  • shoot multiple takes at a time to save time
  • camera rehearsal
  • when introducing a character its good to do it in a tight shot
  • wide shots take time to set up
  • splitting up the shots takes longer but produces a better performance
  • be sure to get high resolution photos for thumbnails
