Notes:

  • you can transition to a new location to show they length of the conversation by keeping the blocking the same and just continuing the conversation
  • movie uses environment to elude to future plot points and to what is left to come
  • shrinking aspect ratio to show Scotts location
  •  Point of focus – eyes followStephen as he leaves, you see scott turn and then the camera pans back to Stephen

Notes:

  • the use of lyrics in the background can show what the character is thinking without directly saying it
  • the movie clearly sets up the next ex by placing its number in obvious locations but ones that the viewer may not consciously notice
  • the story uses actually objects and plot based points as metaphors to real life situations
