Trope Talk

Notes:

  • a story starts with something that goes wrong ( called inciting incident)
  • characters in a situation is what story telling is (most of the time dealing with something that is out of the comfort zone)
  • establish reality and tear it away
  • start fast and dramatic to get the audience to expect that for the rest of the movie
  • when a story slows down audience expects something to happen to speed up the story
  • you need to catch your audiences attention and make sure to keep it
  • if you write a book not every one is going to want to read it.
  • audiences are taught to make snap judgments on a book
